He'll be teased endlessly when he gets older. Stick with that as a middle name, or try to find a good variation on the name.

Spiridon is my sons name. We call him Spiro. He doesn't. He is proud to be named after his grand father.

What about Spyridon Mikail Soukeras or Mikail Spyridon Soukeras. There are many variations of Michael. Use the Greek form of this name or the Russian. Maybe wait until he is born. I had many names for my daughter but the moment she was born I chose a name I hadn't even considered. My son is named after his father and grandfathers. His father walked away 4 years ago and has had no contact with his kids, by his choice. Now my son is unhappy having his dad's name.

I say go with tradition and give the boy a name with cultural meaning. Spyridon sounds odd to my non Greek ears but it's a cool name.
