Spyro=idon is the patron saint of Corfu, Greece, where my mother is from. It's a wonderful name!

Spyridon is a great name. I had a great uncle named Spyridon, and we called him Uncle Sam. In the USA most Spyridons are called Sam, for short. Sam is a bad ass name, and Uncle Sam, of course is a symbol of America.

our daughter in law did not like my husband name either, but my son won and named his son Pantelis. Our grandson now is 17 years old and he loves his name he tell everyone it is his papou's. that is one way children will know some thing about the family from the pass. Go for Niko............
