Spyridon is an awesome name. Don't let those knuckleheads in the comments bother you, I'd be proud to carry on a family name like that

Spyridon is awesome. Unusual names rock. Michael has been done so continuously that it has become plain. Spyro is such a cute nickname too. Good luck

Names like Michael are so boring, definitely Spyridon is more interesting, and the kid will grow up proud of being a little different!

In highschool, there as a guy named Spyro, or as I imagined it, Spiro. He was one of the funniest characters I met in those days and I always loved the sound and uniquness of his name.

Traditions are so important, I grew up Greek and didn't fully appreciate it until an adult. My cousin was named in this tradition but he went by his middle name so maybe this could be considered
