The district finally confirmed that Brett Morrison will step into the director position. It was a long road to get here but I am relieved that we can finally focus on the music again. We will be watching to ensure the transition remains smooth for the students.

Goddard band director Dane Danielson has announced he is stepping down and leaving the Goddard district at the end of the 2018-2019 school year...
This petition is to ask the Goddard administration to immediately promote Brett Morrison to the Director of Bands position and hire a new assistant director to take his place for the 2019-2020 season.
Brett Morrison has been a respected member of the Goddard USD265 staff for the past 13 years and has 3 kids in the Goddard district. Brett Morrison is the best and most logical choice to take the position to prevent large scale disruptions in the next marching season. For as long as these kids have been in band, Brett has been their Director...

The momentum behind this request is heavy and it reflects how much our students rely on stability. I am exhausted by the uncertainty of this transition but seeing this level of backing keeps me moving forward.

My Grandson from Kansas City goes to summer band camp and it is because of Brett Morrison that he goes. Would hate to see him miss this opportunity, he knows his passion and love of kids and music and has been inspired by Mr. Morrison to be a part of that.Would love to see Mr. Morrison have a larger role in the music department !
Mr. Morrison is an AMAZING teacher. He teaches our children privately; and gives his undivided attention. His love for music shows through dedication (on time, stays over time and devoted to teaching) and we will follow and support him.
I believe that Mr. Morrison would be the best fit for the students! And I have heard a lot of marching band students say that they wanted "Mo" to step up and take Danielson's spot.
Mr. Morrison is the only choice for Band Director of GHS. His qualifications, passion for music, proven ability to teach, exceptional leadership skills, communication and dedication to the students, band program and our school are unmatched.
I will soon have 3 kids in Goddard Band program. And two of them absolutely love him. He is the most logical choice and he deserves it! He does all the hard work anyway. My children were ready to quit after this year due to Danielsen. Praise the lord they will be able to continue doing what they love.
I have three kids in the music program and Mr. Morrison is loved by all of them! Please consider Mr. Morrison for the Director position, he definitely deserves it.
I feel Brett Morrison would be the best candidate for band director. I have 2 children that participate in marching band and have a great relationship with Mr. Morrison. For a district that has invested in the Capturing Kids Hearts Program he would be the best choice. He already has established meaningful relations with all the students and aslo the parents. His leadership would definitely improve the relationships between band families and the director. He built great relationships before the Capturing Kids Hearts was the districts focus.

I have known Brett since 1986. Very honest hard-working man. Extremely dedicated to music and cares about his students. He’s been doing Much of this job already.Time to pay him for it.! No one should be held back on pursuing their dreams or trying to better themselves. Good luck Brett
