Cannot believe it is still 30 on the stretch between all the schools- do the powers that be need a serious accident to happen before they react .

I have campaigned for several years for 20 mph limits on Gargrave Road as the local Green Party candidate. I knocked on 1000 doors in 2012 and found most people supported the idea. Good luck to this campaign. 20s plenty for Skipton.

Urban 20 across the hole town would make a massive difference to road safety for everyone.

I am very concerned about the number of children, teenagers and adults who have been injured in recent car accidents. I hope reducing the speed will see a reduction in accidents and we can keep our community safe.

Please keep our young people safe ... it is an extremely busy road with 3 secondary schools, a college and 2 primary schools within a short distance. 10mph slower will make all the difference to safety.

I witnessed a young student hit by a vehicle on this road a few years ago. I often see cars in excess of the 30 mph limit. More than half of pedestrian deaths and serious injuries occur on roads with a 30 mph speed limit......

Vitality needed to protect all the students of the schools situated on Gargrave Road, and it would be a real advantage to the residents too. A true community campaign.

I believe there should be very low speed limits in all villages. It works in Germany, why not UK?

Awful job trying to get to work, students being dropped off all along the road, parents blocking access roads and parking on double yellows and pavements.
