We, the undersigned, hereby petition the Obama Administration and Congress tocharge NASA with the task of sending astronauts directly to Mars by 2025 without detouring to the Moon.

The United States should take bold leadership in spaceexploration by sending humans to Mars as soon as possible. The "Mars Direct" method is the most affordable way to accomplish this goal.
