All of the arts collage is majorly underfunded. More particularly the printmaking and ceramic majors are constantly needing to outsource and really make due with the low quality appliances given to them in class. I have also witnessed and experiences first hand students needing to used broken or barely usable appliances to learn the techniques they need to learn for the class.

I think the way art history courses is very out dated. There needs to be a more interactive way of having these classes taught. Sitting through an hour long lecture, looking at photos and awkwardly trying to make conversation with peers doesn’t feel like it allows for us to retain as much info as the professors believe it does. The advisors team also needs to be expanded especially during times of open registration. It’s crazy that we have one single advisor in that office for 400+ students. It hard to get a hold of them when we need them the most and waiting for the last minute to get an appointment also is really annoying. Classes fill up fast and with the limited selection during the summer, it kinda sets me back if I can’t knock out a course from my required list.

We need better fundings, it’s not fair they are messing up with the art students education and stop funding basic necessities
