My children have not been taught directly by Jordan Seavey. However when I watched the very first school performance of michaelmas, I remember being so impressed by the choir and band presentations. I grew up in band and choir and am an avid musician and sought to know who was behind the music program. From what I heard in the performances I knew there was something incredibly special about the children's proficiency and their interaction with the person who was leading them. I have met Mr Seavey a few times at pick up and he was always cheerful and I was very much looking forward to my children having the privilege of being his students. I know from what my daughters have told me he is a very well-loved teacher. It is a huge loss to have him
Leave and his music program is one of the things that excited me the most about my children's future at GMWS.

Our children are too young to have Mr. Seavey as a teacher, but we have met him at various events. His positive energy and grounded presence have always made an impression on us, and we were looking forward to getting to know him better.

Jordan is a tremendous asset for our school, as well as a great human being. I would hope that a creative solution be found to keep him doing the job that he excels at!

Although Mr Seavey's departure would not be enough for me to take my children out of Green Meadow, I do believe he is an asset to the school and that the truth has not been fully disclosed to the parents.

My son has only one year left and so he will finish at GMWS. Honestly this decision completely changed my mind about the school . I am horrified and disgusted with the way such an amazing man and teacher was just throw pin out like useless trash.

I do not see the advantage that will over come the losses if Mr. Seavey leaves. Mr.Seavey has been working hard to build a positive and happy learning atmosphere, inspiring and encouraging students to not only step on to the stage but also in many other aspects such as community services, social issues and more. Many teachers have retired to make room for the new generation of teachers, fire someone else if necessary.

Mr. Seavey is the coolest music teacher in Green Meadow that my children told me that they have enjoyed to work with. I truely request that the administration reconsider the decision and do your best to keep is valuable beloved highly respected teacher.

I agree with all that is already voiced about the Importance of Mr Seavey's remaining as a great force of the music department of Green Meadow. It is important to that we take all the steps to insure we nurture and support fully the dedicated teachers and euducaters lf our community.

I have no experience of Mr. Seavey as a teacher, but having read the outpouring of love and admiration in the comment section of this petition, I have some thoughts. A teacher who can impact the lives of their students as described is a rare and valuable asset and it is in Green Meadow's interest to retain such a teacher. In the 30 years I have been involved with GMWS, music teachers have come and gone. I would view Mr. Seavey's continued employment at Green Meadow as an investment in the future of the music program and the education we all love.

Mr Seavey is a great soul behind GMWS music department and I fully support any alternative to keep him at the school - this cannot be only a budget decision due to a reorg. By making such decision we are not following the principles the school has created and stated over the years.

Mr. Seavey is my band and chorus teacher, my class advisor, as well as a close friend. The thought of him not returning brings tears to my eyes. He has taught me so much through my years at Green Meadow, and the idea of losing him as a teacher and advisor is very upsetting to me, my class, the school, and the whole community.

Mr Seavey is a very valuable force in this community and in our children's lives! The chorus performance I saw this winter had so much depth, emotional richness and beauty. It is obvious that Mr Seavey connected with the children to bring magic and light to the fore. Please consider every possible way of keeping Mr Seavey even the suggestion put forward by the parents to raise funds for his salary.

Mr Seavey came to GMWS inspiring his students and coalescing the wind and percussion section of the orchestra. His lively, can do, unstoppable, cheerful disposition is joyously contagious and a better role model for our children cannot be imagined!
We have been blessed to have his good character and count him as a leader in our school community. We should endeavor to maintain the level of education and professionalism of which he is an example at Green Meadow.

Our child attends kindergarten at GMWS, and we don't have any interpersonal relationship with Mr. Seavey. Having said that, I have, on several occasions, crossed paths with him, while dropping our son to nursery last year, and he'd always greet me a genuinely positive and radiant "Good morning."
After reading some of the comments on this petition, I feel compelled to voice my experience of him and to ask that Green Meadow, if at all possible, nourish their relationship with him and reconsider their decision, and not break up Mr. Seavey's relationship with his pupils and the school.

I've seen firsthand Bill Pernice be a wonderfully gifted and engaging music teacher. I can say the very same for Jordan Seavey. I can also see there are very smart people sitting on our collegium board who have a heart for Jordan and see what we see, an amazing music teacher in Jordan. There are no shortage of excellent people in OUR STORY. I'm also guessing there are permutations to this situation we, the parents, are not privy, so there is also no shortage of complexity to OUR STORY--It's my opinion, as a small person in this story, to say I think it would be extremely helpful, and not least of which healing, to push this out two weeks and have one more COOPERATIVE look at this WITH this very large group of concerned parents.
