Gloucestershire is so much more than just Bristol.

This is such a disappointing idea. Bizarrely, of all the "City" franchises you could propose - Leicester, Derby, Northampton, this is one place where the half the people in the biggest city in the county support another team, Somerset! You ain't going to get them to switch for you!

Bristol is a city - our club is for the whole of the county. It MUST stay as Gloucestershire County Cricket Club and it really needs the support of fans from the whole county!

Gloucestershire through and through. County cricket?!? Therefore we use our counties name? If it was city cricket then maybe it would be different but that's what club cricket is for.

I supported Gloucestershire from when I was 8 (50 years ago) because I lived there. I continued to follow them when I moved away. Now that I live in Canada, I periodically like to find out how they are doing as it is a trip down memory lane, but if the club ceases to be "Gloucestershire", there will really be nothing to draw me to see how this new club is doing.

Just think about how those roars of 'Gloster..Gloster' resounded around Lord's! No change please! Come on the Shire!
