It is a travesty to not allow someone to use their own property for something as great as a fun game like wiffle ball. Not only is it promoting fair play but it is also promoting getting out and excesizing in a time were video games and social media are dominating the world.

I participated in Chris' wiffleball league for several years, and they were some of the best times of my high school years. Chris fostered a sense of community completely through goodwill.
I had no idea about Chris, his friends, or his league until a friend introduced us. It didn't take long at all to consider him a friend, and the league a regular part of my life.
Over the course of my years in HFWB, I saw dozens of my close friends play and it became something we regularly talked about in school. This informal league became just as important to us as our extracurricular and town-associated leagues.
It was incredible, but not a surprise to see Hess Field Wiffle Ball become nationally recognized. Chris quickly made our tiny league something that made Scotia, Glenville, and Rotterdam immensely proud.
Through Chris' hard work and ingenuity, we all were able to continue "living the dream" well into our early adult years. It would be shameful to shut down the league and prevent future generations of residents from taking part in HFWB because of a minor technicality. Chris and his league are an asset to the community, not a hindrance.

The kids involved are all good hard working young men who are conscientious, respectful, good sportsmen and who just enjoy playing whiffle ball games on the Chris Hess property. They are not loud mouths, rude or troublemakers and respect the property of others. All they want to do is play ball. There certainly appears to be enough land for this activity on the Hess land. The Town of Glenville should allow Chris Hess to resume these games in his backyard. We need more young men enjoying our Glenville lands and who will provide such a fine example to our Glenville youth. As a Glenville resident, I support this backyard sport activity.

Revisit the moratorium and give a variance for this field...be reasonable and rational...It's a weekend morning activity!

Chris Hess has the support of the entire Wiffle Nation, especially that of the Minnesota Wiffleball Association. Skol Hess, Skol Wiffleball.
