These constant "peak" are so stressful. More or less, you stop living for fear of getting hit with an $11 per HWH for the one hour. This happened to me last year. Having good peak called possible days for at least 2 weeks is ridiculous. Home owners vs small business should not be classified in the same group. Businesses make products, they have means of tax deductions to offset expense. I understand all of this completely. However it is very rude, upsetting to call fellow citizens uneducated more or less stupid.

We need lower customer fees, no peek times. We also have a extra fee, because we have two meters, but we are in a residential area

This rate structure is ridiculous. We need someone to step in and help us get this changed. Regular citizens shouldn't be affected by peaks caused by factories in the area.

Every time there is a suggestion of a peak I turn everything I possibly can turn off in my duplex I rent and sit in the freezing /extreme heat depending on the time of year. Sometimes it's so bad I have to leave my home and take my little dog with me to my parents home who is not on EPB. I can't do laundry, cook, or anything else when these peaks may happen. I'm a prisoner in my own home. I have to choose what I can afford to pay for after EPB is paid first. They don't give you any notice that they are going to turn you off either. Unfortunately, once I was turned off before my SS check was deposited, and by the time they added all the changes to my bill I couldn't afford any groceries till my next SS check. Had to live on canned green beans and one small roast for 2 and a half weeks. I don't see how the people who conserve and struggle to keep their bill down have to pay for the people who don't do anything to conserve. I've always conserved, but no one should have to live in the bitter cold with your thermostat set on 65°. I didn't even use my electric blanket this year for fear my bill could go up. My little dog had to start sleeping with me to be able to keep warm. These are just a few of my comments, because I could go on for ever. Oh, one last thing. I moved here to Glasgow 6 years ago after visiting here for 23 years to see my retired parents who moved here and had fallen in love with this beautiful City. If it wasn't for the fact that I need to be close to my elderly parents I would move because of the EPB that is sucking the joy out of my life.

Rates need to be adjusted back to previous scale which was more affordable to the citizens of Glasgow.

It's been a struggle to turn off household equipments and appliances because sometimes the peak rates is an everyday issue and you have no idea what day they will choose. So, we're sitting around in the dark, doing without like we're in the dark ages.

The new EPB rates have affected our budget. Last summer we bought a BBQ grill so we could cook outside and not get caught by the peek! I don't like having to do laundry, cooking etc. trying to avoid the high priced peek!

I'm single and sick. I am trying to get my disability, but don't know when I will or if I will. Just can't pay the electric bill especially with these rates.

I don't agree with either one of the rate plans set fourth by the EPB.

I think something needs to be done. I know I am not the only sick person in Glasgow, but it has really put a lot of stress on me. I am in the last stages of atherosclerotic heart disease with CAD. Stress makes it worse. So I know it has to be affecting other sick people, the elderly and everyone else that pay these bills.
