The GEPB finally abandoned these unfair rate structures. This fight took everything I had but we won because we refused to be ignored. Stay vigilant because we have to ensure these burdens do not return in another form.

Final supporters
We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens against both the Glasgow Electric Plant Board (GEPB)'s Infotricity and subsequent TRS ("Option B") rate structures. We stand in agreement with criticisms made by the Kentucky Office of the Attorney General of both rate structures and oppose the rate structures due to the burden they have placed on a substantial number of residential and small business customers served by the GEPB.

Reaching this point has been an exhausting uphill climb but seeing the number of people who agree with me keeps me going. It is clear that the frustration with these rate structures is far deeper and more widespread than the board cares to admit.

It is sad when you have to decide between your meds or electricity. This is what EPB has done to senior citizens.
These constant "peak" are so stressful. More or less, you stop living for fear of getting hit with an $11 per HWH for the one hour. This happened to me last year. Having good peak called possible days for at least 2 weeks is ridiculous. Home owners vs small business should not be classified in the same group. Businesses make products, they have means of tax deductions to offset expense. I understand all of this completely. However it is very rude, upsetting to call fellow citizens uneducated more or less stupid.
This rate structure is ridiculous. We need someone to step in and help us get this changed. Regular citizens shouldn't be affected by peaks caused by factories in the area.
It's been a struggle to turn off household equipments and appliances because sometimes the peak rates is an everyday issue and you have no idea what day they will choose. So, we're sitting around in the dark,doing without like we're in the dark ages.
I think something needs to be done. I know I am not the only sick person in Glasgow, but it has really put a lot of stress on me. I am in the last stages of atherosclerotic heart disease with CAD. Stress makes it worse. So I know it has to be affecting other sick people, the elderly and everyone else that pay these bills.
Help us please
Get rid of peaks, lower monthly customer charge and kw charge. Go with the one that the AG's office recommended

I too feel residential customers and small business customers should not be paying the same rates as big business and industrial customers. This past year has been very stressful with the peak days and trying to conserve energy. I try to do that on a daily basis and always have. I am also opposed to the smart meters and the health concerns that are associated with them. We should have had a choice not mandated.
