We need a faster service from Dumfries to Gkasgow Edinburgh also better trains also better rail fares it is cheaper with bus it only 15 mins of difference

It's ridiculous we have to ask for a line covering this part of part of Scotland. It cost a small fortune also to sit on a train between Edinburgh and Lockerbie for an hour! Then paying for a bus! Should be a given that this is sorted out and make the capital and the town of Dumfries more accessible for tourists (local and international) to visit for the day and travel between. And for residents to do Edinburgh and Dumfries as a day trip!

The current rail service from Dumfries to Glasgow is very poor. Time taken is much too long due to local stops all along the route. An ability to join the main, high speed served, line without all of the stops, and without having to travel to Lockerbie, would be a move towards providing a modern, fast service that is more fit for purpose, and with the added bonus of serving commuters. It's only 13 miles of track!
