Only 14 miles of track for an undoubted economic pay-back seems like very good case, and a shot in the arm for this area that always seems to be a forgotten corner of the country.

I work a lot in Edinburgh and a reliable train service would be an excellent service to have.

This is a no brainer and would help the town hugely allowing much easier access for tourists and encourage more people to spend time in D+G

A vibrant town such as Dumfries necessitates such a service.

I want the railway line back because it is a vital link to and from the central belt via Dumfries

Would be a great link between the east coast and the west coast lines.

The more links to other cities we have the better ,it will help keep people in Dumfries if it is easier for them to come and go

This seems to be a straightforward need for passengers travelling both east and west.

This would change the dynamic of the area completely and utterly enhance local people's quality of life as journeys would be easier and more pleasurable!

We should be encouraging people to use public transport to reduce private car usage.

This link needs to be reopened. Many people will benefit from the reopening of the rail link Dumfries to Edinburgh/Glasgoew. This should never have been closed.

The railway link would make the people from the Boarders more accessible to the larger cities in Scotland at the moment there are Bus services but the time factor is not realistic to a day trip Also many more flights leave from Glasgow or Edinburgh than more local airports which restricts our choice again due to local Scottish transport
