Obvious candidate for reconstruction. Would improve economic outlook for East Ayrshire.

Trains are the way forward for our area. Look at the east coast extension and how busy it is

Dumfries currently suffers from poor links with our country's capital. The former Caledonian route to Lockerbie may be a route with more relevance today than when closed in 1965.

Dumfries is being starved & economically strangled for lack of transport connections: from being voted the best place to live in Britain (1993) to one of the most deprived places today: please give us a chance to flourish once more.

Dumfries is the land that time forgot, or more accurately, the region politicians overlooked. We demand a proper rail connection.

South west scotland is forgotten Scotland. The worst transport links in the whole of the UK.
