It’s not just people in Dumfries who will benefit; it’s also people in Edinburgh, like me, and people around the whole country, who will get railway access to Dumfries and the SW of the country, which currently is impossible for anyone (like me, and like 40% of North Edinburgh) who does not own a car.

Essential that this line reopens to provide rail links from Northern Ireland to Dumfries, Glasgow, Edinburgh and northern England.

Appalling that we can't get to our capital city from Dumfries, and the Stranraer line should never have been closed. Areas such as ours are under economic threat all over Scotland due to poor travel opportunities and long travel times. Public transport must be supported but first it must be available!

For the regional capital of SouthWest Scotland to NOT have a direct rail link to the Scottish capital is a national disgrace.
Without good communication links our commerce, culture, education and tourism are unable to reach their potential....in short a signicant region and percentage of our population remain under-developed and unable to change that.
