I've made arrangements to complete my scheduled work early so that I can go to America. I have had my ticket booked since March and cannot get refunded for this.

I booked an operation for that week. I can't afford to miss campus due to no recess. Its unfair.

While I understand that the tests and classes missed due to the strikes need to be caught up, I find it extremely unfair that the university take these holidays away. These holidays come at a crucial time in the semester where students need the break to recharge before the exams.

We all NEED our holidays back, we only have that 1 week of holidays and our brains can't take the strain of no rest. Such decision will have a ripple effect on our academics

I am in full support of this petition. It is incredibly unfair to take away the October recess. I'm sure I am not the only one who is in dire need of a break not only for my sanity but for my health. I have not participated in any of the strikes, I have attended class but now you want to punish us too. This, I will fight. If we need to make up for lost time, take a week out of the December holidays. I will not back down on this.
