Need a holiday

It's unfair.

I agree, Engineering students need this time to study..

We still deserve our break it has a been a long and tiring quarter especially for the 4th years who were on teaching practice.

I have 3 semester tests to study for in the week of recess

This is ridiculous. For some of us, who stay 4-10 hours away, this is unacceptable. We haven't been home since the beginning of the term. We get little holidays compared to other institutions as it is, and now you want to pull this move. Way to build up the hatred against tuks

It is not fair because some of us already made plans for the recess and we can't change anything at such short notice, rather add 1 week of school after the recess and we'll finish writing exams on the first week of december

we need this holiday...give us, us free

Have booked and payed for flight tickets and paid all accomadation from 30 Sept to 9 October. Cannot lose all money and cannot get leave now at another time. Please make other arrangements as this is not our students fault.

I need a holiday. I have a planned birthday party on the 4th of October it's been well planned in advance cause its recess

I was willing to go to class. I have booked bus tickets home.

Keep our October holidays

This is a scheduled time for students to get a well needed and deserved rest from academic activities, denying us this is an infringement on our rights. Not only that but its denying those who only see their families few times in a year to be able to do so , of which some already made traveling arrangements, be it near or far, local or international. Give us back our October recess.

Just because a few uneducated people disrupt our classes I see it as unfair for them to ruin our long ahead planned holiday plans. Some people book their flight tickets long in advance

I don't think it's fair that.we lose our recess . We have made plans and also need rest before our Exams

As an engineering student I need that resses to study for test week.

It's unfair to take recess away from us

I agree with the argument about fees not increasing but I also think that like other universities Tuks should let their students have a week free to regroup before exams . . . the tests can be written next week

Already made plans for oktober holiday and paid for it

I have flight tickets for a trip that has been planned 3 months in advance... why must I cancel my plans and lose thousands of dollars because of some 40-50 EFF idiots!?
