University of Pretoria - Give Us Back Our October Recess

This is ridiculous, take a week off of the December holidays, not the October recess

I do feel that the shortening of the recess affects the university just as much as the students... however I do want a recess nonetheless.

Although I understand that there is a strike and all academic activities have been stopped, rest is required for the body and the mind in order to ensure their sanity. We need a break between now and exams

I haven't been home in Months, but still I have sacrificed my recess so that I may prepare for Eng.Week. I need that time to prepare. Please give us back The Recess so that I can be able to work without disturbance.

Without recess, students will not be able to catch up on work and this will definitely affect the results badly.

Studying in advance is important to me and I can't do away with my recess, because this time is much more compared to the normal day when campus is open. My family also lives in another city and I don't get to see them at any other time except during recess. Please, don't take away our recess. It's unfair!
