The fact the patio at Thirsty & Miserable existed without complaint for the entire 4 years of the bar's existence, and was present without issue for several years prior, would seem to indicate that the fixture doesn't impede the enjoyment of Kensington Market's patrons, but adds to their enjoyment of the neighbourhood. I would ask that the board allow the patio to operate normally as it has in the past.

This patio is a Toronto institution! Please let Thirsty and Miserable keep the patio and resist the urge to punish a small business owner who brings commerce and character to the market.

Keep the patio!! This bar brings alot of people to kensington market and always has good bussiness! A lot of bands from out of town come to this bar too and not having a patio wouldnt be as inviting.

There are stores that take up way more space on the sidewalk with vegetables and such that do not have a licence. This postage-stamp sized patio is not an issue!

Have the members of city council taken a step inside Kensington in the last...decade?! T&M's patio is the last thing I have to sidestep when walking the sidewalks. If they're not going to clear the rest of the market, don't touch the patio!

This patio has been part of the Kensington Market landscape for many years so I'm not sure why the City is considering its closure now, but it makes no sense given its small stature and tiny capacity. Despite its size it's a huge favourite with patrons over the years with all the businesses operating at this address, I would expect closing it will heavily impact this small business in a negative way. Please reconsider!

I really don't understand how the patio at Thirsty and Miserable exceeds minimum required clearance considering the number of other businesses on the same street occupy far more sidewalk space than they do. The proprietors and patrons of Thirsty and Miserable are always respectful of their neighbours and and the neighbourhood - they ARE part of the Kensington neighbourhood.

The patio doesn't take up any more space than the neighbouring shops do with their clothing displays that don't require permits. Keep this small patio. Stop hurting small business!

This small patio is a perfect fit for Kensington Market and the specific location. I don't see how any harm can come from allowing this patio at Thirsty and Miserable. I strongly supple this patio.
