Permethrin kills ticks.Deet is not an effective repellent. Canadians need to have something to help against this growing epidemic.

Bases for my support of this: 1. My wife was recently bitten by a black-legged tick and underwent antibiotic treatment as a prophylactic. 2. We will take our family on vacation in Amazonia, a region of yellow fever risk as well as other insect borne illnesses. We need to have access to this proven, safe and highly recommended approach to minimize the risk associated with insect carried illness.

I have been treated for Lyme desease allready due to a bite this fall. It makes no sense that a product that could prevent people from contracting the desase is not available.

I've ud buzz-off clothing that I had purchased in th US for years and still depend on it for tick/mosquito repelling. IT's quite effective and with care is not creating harm.

Canada needs to get smart about Lyme Disease. Our medical system is ignoring this and needs to be empowered. Our society is far smarter than our actions show. Don't wait till you or a family member is diabled by Lyme disease, be smart, be proactive. This is very serious and could erupt into epedemic proportions. The govenrments, research bodies and medical community need to act now.

I was diagnosed with Lyme disease 3 years, Although I wasa treated I have not been well since and no further treatment is availablein Canada. At my own expense I am going into the Sates for diagnosis and treatment. I am 80 and would not wish whatis happening to me to happen to anyone else especially a child. If it can be prevented then geton with it. Also let's start talking about treatment fot suffers in Canada.

As a Lyme suffer who has not received any help from the medical profession, I know how devastating LD is. Permethrin can help to prevent this horrific disease.
