I have been hearing from so many of you about the crushing reality of balancing placement commutes with the rising costs of living on campus. Your stories about these financial barriers are the fuel behind this push for fairness.

Seeing this kind of momentum feels like a weight lifting because it proves I am not the only one struggling to balance placement costs and basic survival. The fact that so many of you resonate with this fight gives me hope that we can finally force a conversation with the university.

It is honestly ridiculous. My sister is a student nurse and she is constantly broke. They deserve the same support as every other student at uclan.
Nursing students have it so rough compared to everyone else. The placements are brutal enough without having to worry about paying for travel out of pocket.

been saying this for ages!! we do so much unpaid work on placement and cant get a part time job like others. give us the credits!
