This is so disappointing, we move our daughter from another so she can attend with her younger sister who started prep and be closer to home, my option is now to have two kids at two different schools different school times or pull both of them out!
So very upsetting

As a concerned grandmother. I’m am asking the government to look after our education in this country. We give billions of dollars overseas each year. It’s time the kids in Australia come first. Before all the negative comments start I am not against helping anyone in need. But right now these kids need the help.

My family have just moved to the area from Sydney. We had to fork out the cost to have new uniforms new laptops books and stationary. On top of the costs of moving to a new state. To now have to enrol in to a third school, is not financially viable. I know that I am not alone with these concerns and know that other parents are in the same boat. We sent our children to this school under the assurance that the children would be able to continue there schooling next year. To get into the second term after they’ve settled that now they can no longer do this feels like a bit of a kick in the guts to be honest. They need this funding. It’s so important that they are allowed to continue there schooling at the school they were promised.

In the strongest possible terms I requestthe promised funding be provided to complete Stage 2 of the Saltwater school. Parents who moved their before their children were born, on the grounds that that a nearby school would be built soon after they bought their homes in Saltwater Coveschool was part of the plan for their community. They waited eight years and had to send their children into other areas when theh reached school age. This year, at enormous expense they were enrolled at the new school - again, in the absolute understanding that the school would accommodate the children starting there as they grew older. It is unconscionable that they should now be thrown into the turmoil and expense of having to change schools again. A large part of their choice to purchase there was based on the promoted expectation of a local school for their children. I urgenly request the promised funding be provided.

We, the students & parents of Saltwater P-9 College write to express the growing concerns regarding the stage 2 completion of the school. The grade 6 students have been informed the buildings for the 2nd stage of the school will not be completed in time for them to continue to Year 7 at Saltwater P-9 College. Families have up-rooted, in some instances; several children to move to this school in good faith that the children going into Year 7 in 2020 would be accommodated. Now they have to find alternative High Schools for their children. This is in no way in the best interest for our children. This poses a very difficult, emotional, stressful and financially difficult time for the families involved. There must be a way to provide temporary portables in the interim so our students can continue to thrive in their current environment without any further disruption.

My son transferred to Saltwater P-9 from Alamanda P-9 with the intention to go all the way to primary 9, not move again before Senior years. The impact on him would be more harmful than beneficial. Please do something about this and make the P-9 make sense, not P-9 by name but P-6 in reality.

Cutting this project is not the way forward. Moving children back and forward between schools is costly and disruptive for their education.
