The reality is this; customers who could collect in store on Saturday were sold a Car seat for 49p. Customers who ordered online, received order confirmations and bank charges are now being denied. Your customers didn't make this mistake, and disallowing a subset of customers because of the delivery mechanism is wrong. Accept your failings and ship the goods.
Hiding behind "online" in 2015; The sooner archaic laws like the Sale of Goods act from 1979 are overhauled to stop shoddy practices like the ones you're now pushing, the better.
