I am a Upper Fox River Resident, I buy 3 Chain O Lakes Stickers each year.

Shutting down the lower Fox would be devastating to the property values of the area and kill many businesses that rely on boaters and boat traffic for their sales. This is a terrible area and should be immediately tossed

This idea is crazy. The lower river below Algonquin is a perfect place for canoeing and kayaking. this will kill the river and people will sell their homes, we have lived on the river for 50 + years and we live here for the boats and recreation here. Everyone needs to look into down state and how they are regulating the waterway they have no clue how to do it. We have never had these problems before the Wilmot dam in Wisconsin has been out. You people need to do some real research and fix the problems. Its not boaters, its the people controlling the waterway, down state Illinois. Get your facts straight before ruining a great waterway. We never had this kind of flooding before. We have lived here 50 years and only remember one flood in the 80's and it went down within 2 weeks, not months. Now its flooding every year. Closing the river is a terrible idea and it will cause millions of loss revenue and decrease home values. think about it!!!

Keep the river open as is to all boating

Even though live downstate, have visited many times. We fished the Fox, have friends on the river, have partied on the river, and in various fishing boats have navigated the river. keep it as it is

I agree with this petition 100%. We do NOT need a safe zone or no wake zone on the lower river. This is horrible especially for how much we pay to utilize these recreational waters.

As a property owner on the river this idea is absolutely ludicrous! It will destroy all the home values and the many great businesses along the river. Leave it alone!

I own a house on the lower Fox River and purposely bought a house in this location for our boating and skiing activities. If this goes through it will destroy the culture or the lower river and I will sell my house and move somewhere where we can continue to enjoy our activities.
