Decisions such as this need to be made by the home owners and tax payers.

Have been on the river since the early 80’s. I don’ See any reason that canoeists or kayakers should take presidents over motor boats on the river. Many of us who own power boats, also own canoes and Kayaks, and use them before the river gets busy.

I'm a property owner and power boater on the lower Fox River. NO WAY !!

This will adversely affect our enjoyment of the lower river as well as our property values. Too much Government!

The kids love tubing, wakeboarding and jetskiing. Many, many businesses will be brutally impacted with "no wake" restrictions!! Leave well enough alone i.e. leave it as it is.

My husband and I live in Chicago but own a summer home on a channel located on the Chain O Lakes. We have been paying channel front taxes for more than 23 years and our intention is to tear down our small home and build a much larger year round home in the near future. If this proposed plan comes to fruition, we fear the long term implications so much, we've decided to sell both of our Illinois homes and move out of the state. We love our state and, more importantly, our family, the majority of whom live here. Please help us stay in Illinois where we grew up and belong!

I live on the river and am completely surprised I am just hearing about this now. I pay large taxes and fees to support the river and am very unhappy that this organization is trying to slip these changes through!

There are some places that would make sense for a No-Wake but this is not the solution.

I have 2 kayaks but disagree with this proposal.

I have a powerboat and my whole family Kayaks. We know the difference between times of when each is appropriate. It's unfair to restrict the lower river where I primarily boat with friends and family because some people feel they need more space. I invested almost 30k in my boat. I want to be able to use it locally.

We kayak on the Fox all the time, and never ounce had a problem.

I think canoes, boats, jet skis, kayaks can all co exist on the river if everyone respects each other. I've had the pleasure of doing all different water sports through the years. I've been in this area since the early 70's, & people know what days, times & places the river is busy. If you want a quieter, more slow paced area to paddle, small lakes may be your better option. Don't devalue riverfront homes by trying to restrict boating too much! Fox Waterway or the state should have made people aware of this petition early in the spring!

I've lived on the Fox my whole life. I've boated,canoed & kayaked on the Fox & enjoyed them all without a need for these restrictions. Besides weekends provide those with canoes & kayaks an opportunity to experience whitewater on the Fox as I have. I strongly disagree with these regulations!!!

All the property owners on the river purchased having the right of boat ownership without regulations. There are other locations for your paddlers!!!

I strongly disagree with this. There are plenty of places to canoe. Near Port Edwards no wake area and also by the mile long stretch by the dam. And, by No Wake restaurant in Port Barrington in the shallow area.

I don't see any need to change the way the lower river is used. I have lived on this river & enjoyed boating for over 50 years. It is ridiculous to change the way it is used because of few complainers! Let's use some common sense for once and take note of the number of boaters that enjoy use of the river each weekend. Instead of adversely affecting the businesses and property owners along the river let the few canoers and kayakers use some common sense and use the river on the many quiet times such as mornings, evenings, and week days.
