STOP BIG BROTHER FROM DRAMATICALLY RESTRICTING POWERBOATING ON THE LOWER FOX

This is absurd.

Keep the boats!

As a Homeowner on the Fox River Corridor Plan we should of been well informed of this proposal by CMAP and our legislatures. Not being directly informed is not acceptable. We need to have input on these of decisions that will impact us directly. A clean ecosystem needs to be supported and should be able to be accomplished without taking away the owners who live on the river power boating rights.

Paddlers can go below the Algonquin dam. Plenty of room there and not far away from above the dam.

I just moved here and bought a boat. Don't take the reason why I bought this house away.

This decision will financially destroy this section of the river and region.

As a resident along this stretch of the river I am opposed to this plan for the river. This will drastically harm home prices while only benefiting a few. There are plenty of times on the river for someone to paddle or wakeboard without motor boats disturbing them. The most powerboat activity is Sunday afternoon. If a compromise is needed then apply on Sunday only a no wake policy. This does not have to be a black and white issue.

I have lived on the lower river for 19 years and use a power boat, as well as paddle boats. Timing is everything. There is plenty of river area for paddle boats on this system, but only 18 miles for power boating. I moved here to enjoy boating; both power boating and paddle boating. I’m against the adding of “ no-wake” areas!!!

I have been power boating on the chain and the lower river since 1972 bringing out family and friends to enjoy the beautiful ride down the lower river. Please keep the lower river open for all boaters, power, canoes, row boats etc., for all of us to enjoy.

Why is it that the paddleboarders and the powerboats get along on the upper river and lakes without all these issues. The upper is harder since most of it is sea walled and the waves are bigger, but there isn't this big issue on no wake zones for paddleboarders.

For generations the lower river has provided family fun with water sports. Our pride in our river makes us build into the Fox what it in returns gives us, quality time with friends, family and nature!

I live on the Fox River for the sole purpose of powerboating. Please keep it going.

Please do not add any no wakes to the Lower Fox River.

I don’t want the lower river to become non motorized. Stop this.

Totally against the No Wake areas trying to be implemented on the Lower Fox River as my family have been homeowners on the Fox since the 1950’s.

if fishing and power boats co exist so can kayaks and paddle boats

Keep our Lower Water Way Free from No Wakes.

This would be an absolutely travesty for homeowners property values and many businesses will be greatly impacted included loss of jobs. This can not even be considered

My family grew up and some of us still live on the Fox River. We always had and still have power boats and use them safely. There is no reason to restrict power boats on the lower Fox in favor of paddlers.

Paddle craft and powerboats already coexist on the river. I should know because I have both a kayak and powerboat and have been using both peacefully and UNEVENTFULLY for my entire life. I grew up on the river and am now a homeowner on the river and throughout those 40+ years have NEVER experienced a problem. It is ludicrous absolutely ludicrous to assume these "Safe Zones" would do anything to change boater safety on the river. Rather, this is a "concept" that looks good on paper authored by individuals who clearly lack any real time boating experience. Remember, you can't govern common sense.
