It's completely ridiculous!! I live in Brooklyn and work on the island. From where I live I get right on the bridge and take the father cap exit. It's ridiculous the amount of money just to cross the bridge. When going from Brooklyn to Staten Island, we aren't leaving the state! It's a disgrace to have us NYC residents pay that much to cross a bridge and with all the money that bridge makes a day makes it an embarrassment to even ask us to pay that much!!

The cost of this bridge is outrageous! Brooklynites shoukd be given a discount not to mention that The cost of this bridge cannot not keep increasing as much & as often as it does. Tolls have become completely out of control!

IT IS OUTRAGEOUS THAT BROOKLYN RESIDENTS GET NO BREAK FOR THIS BRIDGE... WE GET ALL THE TRAFFIC JAMS, AND CONGESTION AND GET THE SHAFT MONIESWISE... NOT FAIR..... MY BROTHER IS VERY SICKLY, AND I HAVE TO USE THIS BRIDGE TO TAKE HIM TO DOCTORS.... BROOKLYN SHOULD BE TREATED FAIRLY....

I live in Bay Ridge and commute to NJ for work. I shouldn't have to move to NJ and my line of work isn't readily found in NYC. The cost of the commute is around 5k a year. It's another income tax! Bay Ridge residents deserve the same discount.

It a HUGE financial burden just to get to work, for us who have no other option but to drive over the Verrazano Bridge to get to work. Not everyone works off of a subway line or bus stop, or can move a she/he pleases. Please consider a larger discount for those who clearly drive over the Verrazano Bridge for work, to make a living & provide for her/his family, than those who travel over it for recreational activities.

I have to cross the verrazano 5 times a week to get to work. Please give us the same discount as staten islanders. It shouldn't have to cost us a small fortune to get to work!

What ever happened to the age old promise "the tolls will only exist to pay the expense of the bridge." That was when it was 10 cents. It's now going to $17. That's 2 meals. To drive 2 miles over a span. Let that sink in.

States Islanders chose to live there!! My daughter goes to college in New Jersey and must pay this toll 5 times a week. My hustband is a construction worker who is working near the ferry.. another 5 tolls there! One of our paychecks a month go to paying for tolls! That is NOT fair!!!

Keeping the toll so high will only prevent visitors from wanting to go to Staten Island, which would hurt local businesses.
