A lovely family run shop being affected by ludicrous council decisions. The council build a hostel opposite an off licence and next to a pub and now they want to stop alcohol being sold. Why should everyone else have to suffer because of a few people when alcohol is sold all over Coventry. It’s the people’s right to have access to what they need locally and conveniently.

I don't understand how the Salvation Army life house made the building originally when the shop was trading with a full alcohol licence, and now appear to have a problem with the shop trying to get the alcohol licence back.
I thought we were supposed to be supporting local businesses. Especially if the majority don't have a problem with the shop trading by selling alcohol.
This is a big let down by the council by putting barriers up which will prevent people wanting to start businesses to help regenerate areas.

I used to live a few doors up from this shop for a couple of years. They never had any problems with alcohol. If you want alcohol you will get it weather it's across the road or a few mins walk away.
