Change the girls uniform skirt-nylon policy at HS of St. Thomas More

Administration needs to reinforce the previous policy. Its that simple.

This isn't a joke, this is a policy that we are actually trying to change. So to everyone just making a big joke out of it needs to stop, because you're really not being funny.

This is going to kill admissions. Make them wear Sofie shorts under the skirts but the nylons/tights requirement is untenable.

I agree with everything stated on this petition!!!! The girls need to be comfortable to use their brain to the highest potential!!!!!!

My daughter graduated four years ago but i still feel this is a ridiculous policy!

Even tho our daughter has graduated, I totally agree the new policy is ridiculous !

People should be allowed to wear what they want, and in the summer when it's hot I hate to be in jeans so I don't think they should have to wear leggings.

Another expense parents cant afford in this horrible economy. Socks look nicer and are cooler in the heated seasons. Show compassion to the girls who would be extremely uncomfortable wearing those nylons!

Hi everyone. Glad to see so much support for this. Some good ideas here, too. Please, let's stay focused on the the issue of tights/nylons with the uniform skirt. And let's keep the discussion positive and respectful. I'm sounding like my own mother now!

Last year I wore a skirt every day and during the winter I never wore nylons under my skirt because they are extremely uncomfortable. Discipline the girls causing the problem, not every girl in the entire school. Nothing good is coming out of this.

Why should the girls be required to keep their legs covered at all times when the boys can wear shorts? It's bad enough we have to buy a new skirt for 1 school year. Now we also have to buy solid covered tights! Please reflect on our shared mission of preparing our children to be adults..

You may not realize this but a parent was the one who started this petition and there are parents that have been signing it. If it doesn't work, at least we're getting the situation recognized, and may at least get the policy changed in some way; if not the way the petition states, possibly in another way.

Almost all the girls wear spandex under there skirts anyway!
