Thank you for your note and feedback. As your new Board Chair, I have reviewed your letter and distributed to our Board of Trustees. In order for the Administration to open the school successfully, we are unable to meet this week. The Board will gather to discuss all of the feedback we have received. It's not clear what is to be achieved by the choice made by the current administration and board. HH has decided to back a fringe element and to wade directly into a vicious political maelstrom, and now hundreds/thousands of parents (both current and future) alumni and donors are forced into responding to that choice by making their (own) choices - one side or the other. There is little to no neutral ground on this issue.

I have no daughters and my grandaughters are at other schools. I do have 2 sons. They and my late husband graduated from MBA. I don't want to see the same thing happen to MBA.

You neglected to consider the families and girls who were born and “identify” as female. A case by case would have been more effective than a policy.

I am a grandparent of a child attending Harpeth Hall,as well, four of my cousins and one niece are alumni. I feel it is imperative that Harpeth Hall with a 155 year history as a biological girls school stay that way.
