Gil's record stands for itself. The home runs, the gold gloves, the quite leadership of "Dem Bums", not to mention what he did in Shea Stadiumin 1969. His impact on his players is still talked about today. Ask Seaver how feels about his skipper, you'll get all you need to know. It's Gil's time.

My uncle took me to see the Brooklyn Dodgers at Ebbits field when i was 7 years old (1955). While all the players were rushing to their cars, Gil Hodges took the time to stop, shake my hand and he said to me (Hi ya bud)
