I believe it's time to finally honor this great human being and spectacular ball player and manager. His baseball records,(hitting, fielding and managing) have long qualified him for him rightful place with many othe baseball greats. Soft spoken man of integrity who off the field performed many charitable acts helping others just goes to show the character within this hero. It's a shame this hasn't occurred years sooner so let's make it right. Thank you.

Gil Hodges was the premier first baseman in the National League during the Golden Era. He was an outstanding fielder, winning the first three Gold Gloves ever awarded in his final three seasons as a full-time regular. He was a dominant power hitter, topping twenty home runs for eleven consecutive seasons, and he totaled thirty or more homers in six of those years. He was an eight-time All Star 'NUFF SAID!

How could any one that ever knew anything about Baseball and the Calibre of player Gil was wouldn't sign this petition. Lets get Gil Hodges out of "THE FIELD OF DREAMS" and into the Hall of Fame.
