I am appalled at the hateful comments in the comment section. Angry men with a cloak of anonymity. Man up and say your name, cowards.

There is no accountability with anonymous online comments. The newspaper requires real names for editorials, letters to the editor, "darts & flowers", and so forth. Time to be consistent with the online comment process as well. It just makes sense.

Absolutely! Nasty cowardice serves only to further hate. Needs to be elIminated anywhere it can. Many other news outlets require this.

Unfortunately the bullies have taken over the comment section and made it uncomfortable for the rest of us longing for civil communication. I agree... They are a complete embarrassment to our community. Time to step up and have some real dialogue available.

As adults & teachers, we teach our kids, and many times require them to put their name on their words to teach digital citizenship. As adults we need to lead by example and show them we can have civil public conversations on difficult topics we may disagree on.
