The sculpture "Expansion" is
currently in a private collection in NYC, but we are hoping to gather
enough momentum to get it public again. Permanently!
We receive phenomenal feedback from around the world and so we have decided to start a campaign with the goal to have Expansion on public display.
LOCATION
The Fulton-Ferry State Park/ Brooklyn Bridge Park, in Brooklyn, NY feels like the most appropriate place since it is where the shot that got Her famous was taken. Brooklyn is where Expansion was created in 2004 when I moved there.

One thousand signatures have officially sent a clear message to the NYC authorities who keep this work locked away from public view. This sculpture belongs in Brooklyn and we are not going to stop fighting until it returns to the waterfront.

The bureaucrats at the parks department continue to hide behind their red tape while Expansion sits locked away from the public. I am pushing hard for a meeting to force their hand because this art belongs in Brooklyn.

We are grinding toward one hundred signatures but we need more heat if we want to force the bureaucrats to look at us. Do not just sit there and watch the count climb. Send this link to ten people who have the guts to demand this sculpture return to Brooklyn.

This piece of art is so inspiring and has helped me through my journey with battling mental illness. It would be an honor to be able to view this statue in my home city. If it were a permanent public installment, many others could gain strength from its powerful message
It's just selfish to keep such powerful moving statues in private. Art of any form is meant to evoke something in a person. Keeping it captive and away from people is denying expansion the ability to expand publics mind and embrace art the way it should be embraced!
This is one of the most peaceful and transforming pieces of art I have ever seen. As a resident of Brooklyn who recently fell in love with Brooklyn Bridge Park, please bring it back!!! It's like the missing link!!!
I have been deeply impacted by this sculpture, and with the artist's permission, have used photographs of it in my work. I strongly recommend that the F-F Park provide the space for its public exhibition on a permanent basis.
This is one of those pieces of art that not only illustrates a theme (expansion) but seeing it helps to effect its theme as well. While internet exposure is helpul, it would be truly transformational to have it back in a public space.
I like it.
This is a breathtaking & awe inspiring sculpture that deserves to be on public display for all to see.

I would love to see it in NYC now that I've moved here from LA. The photo alone is so inspiring and empowering. I can't imagine what it would be like seeing the actual sculptor. I'm going to post this in my schools forum and hopefully get more signatures.
