Hello all,

Please sign our petition so that our department can start using Unitu within this academic year. It is a particularly crucial one for both students and staff members, so it is important that there is accessible and anonymous feedback. Unitu has worked in other UCL departments so it should work in ours too especially as it is no extra cost for departments.

It allows for:

- Continuous positive and negative feedback from students to staff. Students can give praise, raise issues, ask questions and share ideas.

- Transparency in the dept. so students can see that their voices are being heard.

- Allows students to represent themselves whilst also working closely with their reps. This is particularly helpful in dealing with concerns that are raised multiple times.

So far the following are using unitu:

  • UCL Institute of Education
  • Faculty of Laws
  • Faculty of Engineering
  • UCL Medical School
  • UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology
  • Department of Mathematics
  • Department of History
  • Arts & Sciences (BASc)
  • Department of Greek & Latin
  • Bartlett School of Planning
  • Natural Sciences degree (virtual department)
  • Department of Space & Climate Physics
  • Institute of Americas
  • History of Art Department
  • Department of Anthropology
  • School of Pharmacy
  • Division of Biosciences
  • Institute of Global Health
  • Institute of Ophthalmology
  • UCL Eastman Dental Institute
  • Division of Infection & Immunity
  • Division of Medicine
  • Division of Surgery & Interventional Sciences

I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by the momentum behind this request. It is clearly all of you who are pushing this forward and showing how much we care about improving our department together.

With a new National Lockdown in place, I think a no detriment policy would be proper for all current final-year students. Nobody has predicted this grave situation of the pandemic, but students must be treated fairly with academic efforts rewarded reasonably under this extraordinary situation.

Yes honestly we really need this for polsci because the current way we give feedback is just outdated and annoying.

It would be so much easier to track if our concerns are actually getting read by the staff rather than just disappearing into the void.
