Secondly: UL Tennis Club and UL playing Staff have been asking for Floodlights, particularly UL Tennis Club - this affects our club majorly and has done so since the club was formed in 2008. We cannot train passed 5pm in winter months, this is unfair to our very talented members who have Lectures and Tutorials up until 6pm. All other Universities have proper lighting facilities, UCC for example train from 7pm-11.30pm at night. We entered our very first Varsity last year as a club and won the plate, this Varsity was hosted by UCC, with proper facilities we could train more and even host our own Varsities here in UL.

I really thought this might just be ignored by everyone at the top but seeing the momentum build makes me realize how many people are actually tired of slipping on these courts in the dark. It is honestly such a relief to see that I am not the only one frustrated by the lack of lights and that awful drainage because reading your comments reminded me of why I started this in the first place.

About time. How are we meant to improve when we cant even see the ball after 5pm in the winter? Absolute joke.
Just turn the lights on. We pay enough in fees to expect decent facilities.
The state of those courts is actually dangerous. Ive slipped way too many times during winter training sessions. Sort it out UL!
My knees still hurt from falling on that black sludge. Maintenance is way overdue.
Other unis have way better gear. UL should be ashamed of letting the courts get this bad.

PLEASE fix the drainage. I am sick of coming home covered in mud because the court is a swamp.
