My friend mentioned he felt a bit lighter today after seeing how many people understand his frustration with that terrible word. I am spending my afternoons filing formal requests to have the term removed from all local menus and silverware sets. This silence from the kitchen industry is loud but we are not going anywhere.

Seeing this kind of momentum feels unreal. My friend is already starting to smile again because he knows he is not fighting this linguistic battle alone.
