The Woolpack is finally under new management, which means our core concerns regarding hygiene and fair treatment have been addressed. While the transition brings a sense of relief, I encourage everyone to keep supporting the new team as they work to restore the pub to its potential.
The Woolpack could be an amazing town centre pub, under different management.
to work for, it is one of the most lapsy daisy pubs I've come across and I've worked in a few pubs.
the girls I worked with were very friendly and the customers were okay too, but the landlady Sarah Hardy is rude to her staff, not paying them on time, if at all.
The landlady also thinks it's acceptable to not change the sheets or bedding in the hotel rooms, instead just 'freshen them up' with febreeze and then make the beds. disgusting.
many staff have been unfairly dismissed just for asking her for their wages, which she always put off doing. there are many girls who are owed money, me being one of them.
This may seen like a personal vendetta BUT when customers are paying to stay in the rooms which are in dire need of TLC and are sleeping in beds that haven't been changed since the last person I think they should know not to stay here, not forgetting the numerous amounts of different people she allows up and down the stairs, who roam about up there when there are guests staying.
A pub with fantastic potential if run by the right person.
Reaching this level of support confirms that my experiences at The Woolpack are shared by many within our community. It is clear that people care deeply about the standards and reputation of this local establishment. Your engagement provides the weight necessary to ensure these issues are finally acknowledged by the proper authorities.

I don’t know any of the people involved but reading it after someone shared made me annoyed on your behalf. I have been conned out of owed money before and it’s horrible. Hope you get the money you are due and the pub gets a better manager!

She owes my sister in law money to which has not been paid and treated my brother in law with such I'll manners that I'm surprised she's still the landlady and no one has put her in her place, not a nice lady to work for or meet
