Stop taking our rights away. We should be able to drive what ever we want as long as its safe. Recon is just another way to make it hard for the local people of hawaii. Its ok to sell all these parts but cant use um and drive on the road.

stop taking from the coumunty, we have done nothing to deserve this, us 4x4 enthusiast is like any other sport, we love what we do and we do it safely, please let us have our modified trucks.

The Reconstruction inspection is an unnecessary, subjective inspection focusing on minor details such as how much a tire sticks out from the wheel well and fenders, how dark the window tint is of the modified vehicle, and wether or not the aftermarket headlights are projectors or not. These aftermarket parts are sold and available to anyone, but the subjective rules apparently dictated legality here on Oahu. It does not truly focusing on safety or the concern of the public. It is an unnecessary duplication of the Periodic Motor Vehicle Inspection, aimed at the group of people who choose to modify their vehicles.

Stop taking away our freedom and selling it back to us. All these rules is making it hard to enjoy living in the state of Hawaii, Oahu I’m general because none of the other islands has recon regulations.

I was fine with the whole reconstruction permit thing but now dat there saying there not gonna pass the straight front swaps what the hell is that end recon

Eliminate recon, absolutely no point in having individuals that lack the experience and knowledge to tell others what is safe and what is unsafe. They have absolutely no right to do so.

We should beable to express our own creativity with the way we want to build our trucks without having to answer why we built it the way we did or pay for a reconstruction permit to say our trucks are safe to drive. Most of all our trucks if not all are safer to drive than majority of the rundown and beat up cars driving on the streets right now.

The whole recon situation on Oahu is terrible , vehicle enthusiasts can’t even build perfectly safe road worthy vehicles. Most of these vehicles have much better than stock parts applied to them, I don’t understand it at all ,now they want to stop straight front axels now . There are some brand new stock trucks that come with a straight front axel on them as standard. ... personally I just think it’s another way for the state to tax you and take our hard earned money. #nomorerecon
