When we first moved in to Eatontown in 2011 and got a surprise tickets from the town for parking overnight on our street. We had no clues what so ever about the overnight parking rules, being that the Moving POD is on our driveway and no room spaces for our cars. No too happy

On the money with no signs notifying the restriction.

During snowy weather I can understand for plows but the rest of the year I think it is completely unwarranted.

I totally agree. I can understand during winter months for snow removal but during summer months? No way.

You cannot park on the grass in Eatontown.I received a notice of violation for parking half on the grass yesterday.Just half a car go figure.

The signs are posted on most of the streets entering into the Borough, I have actually seen them myself. Also, the listing of all ordinances is available at this website which is posted on the Borough's site. http://ecode360.com/EA0040 Here is the actual ordinance: § 312-5 Parking prohibited during certain hours. No person shall park a vehicle between the hours specified in Schedule II (§ 312-33) of any day (except Sundays and public holidays) upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule II attached to and made a part of this Part 1. § 312-33 Schedule II: No Parking Certain Hours. In accordance with the provisions of § 312-5, no person shall park a vehicle between the hours specified upon any of the following described streets or parts of streets: Name of Street Sides Hours Location All streets Both 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. Entire length Lewis Street South 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (except Sundays) Entire length Tinton Falls also prohibits overnight parking all of the time as well. Shrewsbury, Fair Haven, Rumson, Spring Lake Heights and who knows how many other towns in the area do a seasonal restriction usually December to April. Other towns like West Long Branch prohibit parking on the street when it's snow covered. Just remember that when you allow overnight parking, it will NOT be so that ONLY YOU can park in front of your house... it means that ANYONE can park in front of your house for as long as they want to with no repercussions. The rationale for this type of ordinance is multi-fold.... 1. It's more aesthetically pleasing to not have cars lining the streets all the time (look how bad Long Branch's side streets look), 2. Snow clearing in the winter is easier, 3. Garbage pickup can be easier depending on when they come around, 4. No junk car is being left to rot and drip fluids in front o

I can see if it's by a school but otherwise overnight parking on streets should be allowed. I know alot of people who have to park on lawns because of this.

On October 29th 2016 my friend was issued an overnight parking ticket for parking in front of my house. My friend arrived at 5:00 am to drive my family to the airport

I've sent email to the Chief of Police and the Mayor in regards to selective application of this law. It seems some residents receive special privileges and can park overnight with no concern of ever receiving a summons.

I can see it over the winter with the threat of snow, but not every night

You ever try rearranging 3-4 cars a night because you can't park on the street over night? We have different work and school schedules so that's what we have to do

This law is stupid. My friend doesn't even have a driveway to park his car.

Tinton falls has this too and it's so inconveniencing. The only point to this is if the road is snow covered. The rest of the year and when there is no snow it should be fine! We all don't have big enough driveways all the time.

How is this even a law if there are no signs that state this? Ridiculous
