Parking meters are doing harm to the businesses downtown.

Speaking as a server in cville's downtown mall, these meters are not only hurting small businesses but risking our safety of having to park further away and walk alone late at night. This needs to end now!

This is not a friendly way to treat area residents or visitors. The downtown area has progressively become more cost prohibitive for many in our area. These meters add to that problem. It is in the city's interest to get rid of them.

I stopped going downtown because of the meters. They are unfriendly and unwelcoming as well as very expensive.

These machines discourage patrons from visiting downtown thus harming the merchants!

The meters are going to make customers go elsewhere to do their shopping.

Parking meters were a mistake as was taking away the water st parking lot! Maybe the rich and famous are happy with them, then let them work in the stores and the downtown mall. Just another way to force the locals out.

These meters add an extra layer of frustration to an already challenging parking situation. Not only do I have to hurry and get back within two hours, but I gotta pay for it too!!

As a full-time employee on the downtown mall, there are zero options for affordable *and* convenient parking. These meters only add to the challenge!!

The meters make an already bad parking situation worse. I do not come downtown to shop any more because of them.

Please eliminate all park meters.

Parking meters will hurt downtown businesses. There is already too little free parking and this will discourage people from shopping downtown.

I agree. They are detrimental to residents, tourists and businesses. Get rid of them.

The meters have cut down on parking and increased frustration.

Remove the meters. Fund and build a new garage on land just purchased and get moving on this now. Require that all new structures provide 100% of the building’s parking needs.
