The parking meters make the downtown mall the last place I want to go for shopping or dining.

The Downtown mall is the heart of our town and the prime attraction for tourists. Restricting downtown parking with meters could really ruin this city in the long run. Take them down!

I did not support the City installing meters so I do not park in metered spots. And while I believe the public garages charge too much for parking-per-hour, if the City wants to continue charging for parking, do it there and not on the streets. Please reverse the decision to install parking meters on the streets both surrounding the downtown Mall and on West Main St.

This should have never been put in place on the downtown mall. Bacled by people who own the private parking lots downtown to increase the use of there lots and revenue. Just wrong.

Poorly timed with no imput from downtown business owners. These meters need to go.

Find revenue elsewhere! This disproportionately affects the service industry, who are working class hard working folks who support local business (which in turn brings in city tax revenue).

Parking near the downtown is hard enough.

Hell no we won’t go... to plug the meter every two hours

This is going to cost everyone who works in service a fortune!!!

These meters amount to what is essentially a tax for those who work on the downtown mall, potentially running over $1000 per year.

The city needs to stop destroying business on the downtown mall!

Yet another reason I avoid coming downtown. Sometimes it ends up costing more to park than the dinner I had.

This is hurting downtown businesses! We need more open public parking, not less.

This is Charlottesville, not New York. C'mon, now.
