Must admit I like him. David Coleman made many gaffes but added to the endearment. Id rather listen to an animated Carlton than the awful monotone Ned Boulting on ITV. Rob Hatch obviously the best but Carlton is ok for me. The Eurosport team have got it spot on this year.

Makes fun of the aflicted calling people ugly made too much of chris froomes bad test even though this test was dropped by lack of clear evidence he picks riders to talk about who will have no influence on the result of the race as sean often points out to him

He is the worst ever, the only person in the commentary box who loves his own jokes, mistakes riders all the time, talking gibberish, and really only talkes about sky...as a bike riding enthusiast watching each and every stage from start to finish a pain to have to listen to!!

I think he!s quite funny and makes the sprints quite exciting. Sean is excelkent. Don’t like the new co commentator though.
David Harmon possibly better than CK though.

Carlton Kirby is an arrogant tw£t who is lucky to be employed watching this sport and if he mentions the locale, his family holiday s or his meals after the end of the stage I’ll vomit, getting fed up with jonno also and the tv coverage of this years tour is rivalling a Judith charmers holiday program.

There are so many other people out there who could provide informative and insightful information about the races that they are covering. He gets so many things wrong and it is frustrating to listen to.

This is the man who said that The Alps were volcanic in last years T.D.F and that a Camiore in Italy had a pier...it's 5 miles inland! His fixation with the dangers of roundabouts defies sense and I am not even going mention motor cycles.....

I’m sure he’s a nice man BUT as a commentator......... his stupid jokes and info????!!!!! Drive me nuts, and I have just listened to him make a comment to Brian (Scottish) about England’s game tonight and he expected a negative reply, which he did not get and he still had to have the last word!!!!! I’m only interested in the Tour and don’t wish to hear about his dinner last night etc!!!!
