I cannot understand this malicious campaign against Carlton Kirby. There seems to be a copy cat tendency to claim superior knowledge of cycling to Carlton just because he adds a liitle humour and colour to his generally well informed commentary which makes a change from some of the other metronomic Eurosport commentators. To me, Carlton Kirby and the wonderful Sean Kelly form the ideal balance for cycling coverage. Gordon, Cumbria

Finally I have found a whole group of people who agree with me about CK. He really is very annoying and if he does know something about cycling he certainly doesnt transmit that to viewrs! Yes enough of the erms and ums ! And has he ever described the BIKES themelves?? Its what many of us amateurs are interested in! Pleease Eurosport find someone new, I certainly only watch ITV when it comes to the TdeF.

No offence, but he is really annoying. I have to see the giro in Rai because his "jokes" and sounds are driving me crazy. He seems like a nice guy, but not good for this, unfortunately.

I wouldn´t normally make negative comments about someone in this vain, but he has really irritated me for a while now. I´m British but live in Germany and have the choice of German or English commentary. Would prefer my native language but I just can´t suffer this guy for more than 5 minutes. Always wondered what happened to Harmon, was hoping at least that Hatch would be doing the Giro but oh well....
