Inane and snarky commentary. Mostly interested in laughing at his own jokes.

Please, please, please can we get rid of this bigoted and clueless man. Just hearing his voice is anxiety-inducing. I opted for the French commentary for the GP La Marseillaise because I simply can't stand the man.

Unfortunately Eurosport no longer transmitted by BT Sport, will certainly miss the cycling, however will not miss the inane commentary from Kirby

One of the worst commentators in any sport - constant stream of diarrhoea.

Thank you for getting this going! His verbal flâneurring is just too much to take. True story: a neighbour recently got into watching track cycling and mentioned to me having to look up the events on Wikipedia, as Kirby's commentary was so vague as to be effectively useless or confusing.

There are so many good cycling commentators, get rid of this one.

When will Eurosport and Carlton Kirby realise that the bike racing is about the bike racing. It is NOT about Carlton Kirby. His inane wittering and constant unfunny jokes (which only he finds funny!) are nauseating. My wife and I often refuse to watch if he is on. I have numerous friends who watch with the sound turned off. Wake up Eurosport. You are ruining the whole experience!!

What is he laughing about? Anybody know? It has completely evaded me! Every other sentence, giggle, giggle, giggle. I can sense that Jo, his co commentator at the track european championships cringes everyone he makes an attempt to be funny and laughs at his own attempt. He's got to get the chop, he is ruining my cycling experience.

I cannot watch the cycling when he is commentating because of his pathetic jokes that only he laughs at.

His casual racism and inability to pronounce place names properly is unacceptable. Given his BBC journalism background I'm surprised that he can't apply himself more professionally. And worse that Eurosport torelate this on air. Make way for the next generation - pass the mic!

The vuelta is over, bye bye Kirby, thank goodness. Oh dear Lord, be merciful! He's back already at the track racing in the Euros. Time to make the reluctant switch to snooker from cycling

The constant laughing at his own inhumorous jokes goes right through me time after time after time.

Totally inane commentary. He clearly thinks he's the man. I change channels sometimes just because of him.

Oh no!, Kirby's back. I thought we've seen the last of him this season when the Tour of Spain finished, now he's prattling on for Eurosport's covering of the European Track Championship. Give us a break!.

stupid unnecessary comments, inane ramblings and so every other word is urm

Annoying. 'Acid green' from the Vuelta is enough for me

Seems to be watching a different event that you are watching and all the inane chatter all the time I try to blank him out but the way he gets worked up is totally unnecessary. Give someone a chance to commentate and improve the viewers experience.

Hes appalling - another species with the ability to breath through his ears as he never stops talking. I keep the sound OFF! Tell Eurosport!
