First time listener to Kirby. Just awful. Miss Phil and Bob who comment on US coverage of Tour. Thank goodness Dan LLoyd covers for him.

He drives us mad laughing at his own inane jokes and not commentating on the racing going through all the riders saying they could all win but he’ll have a cheeky bet!

I have complained to Eurosport about Carlton Kirby's inane comments a number of times number in recent years, like others, and have suggested that they rein him in. He considers himself fireproof judging by the way he responds to comments. I don't want anybody to lose their job but such arrogance as shown by Carlton Kirby is really annoying. A shock to his system should hopefully be enough to make him a more responsible commentator like the others on Eurosport and ITV4.

Keep Dan Lloyd and add one of the other GCN guys. Kirby's constant dad jokes, followed by pause for the laugh that never comes, are just grating

Eurosport has such talented commentators--Matt Stephens, Magnus Backstedt, Dan Lloyd, Rob Hatch, Brian Smith. Such a shame when we have to listen to Carlton Kirby. At least I can often switch to a different language audio if one is running that I know well enough

Nope. Clearly his co-commentators are astonished by his ignorance but too polite/ professional to say anything. As one regular co-commentator said, ‘He needs to take a holiday - a long loooooooong holiday and not come back’.

Extremely unprofessional, very often offensive. Obvious favoritism towards British riders and teams.. refusing to adress doping of British riders/teams! Horrible commentator in general!!
