Lot of the time talks rubbish , I do not like it when he makes personal comments with about certain riders , appearance , facial expressions and riding style ,it’s not good .

In addition to all the other stated reasons, he constantly talks over the co commentators, most of whom are certainly more well versed the than he. However he is the Eurosport guy so probably GCN has no say. Grrrr.

Never mind the fact that he says completely inappropriate things. I think it was stage one of Volta Algarve, he was talking about wine or something and then his segue to introducing his co-commentator was something like “speaking of things a little fruity, with me today…”

he's just the worst commentator ever, the constant mispronounced rider name's is infuriating, and his annoying need to say rider name's in a foreign accent, and his unrelated drivel everytime there is a few seconds dead air...

I decided to look him up online because he I wanted to know who this guy is and why he is a commentator. As others have said, he goes on and on about not much, laughs at his own jokes because no one else does, and often mis-reads race situations. I suppose he is supposed to be a “color commentator”? I’m sorry, he’s just “not my cup of tea.”. Magnus Backstedt is much more knowledgeable, is well spoken, and is enjoyable to listen to. Truly no offense, but there must be better choices than Mr. Kirby. Please find one!

I cant understand why Eurosport condone his insulting behaviour towards cyclists and countries. He makes no attempt to pronounce names correctly but rather makes fun of them
