I'm avoiding watching races he is commentating on, not a good use of my GCN race pass. I was stunned during opening of UAE stage 2 he comments on the Breakwater precinct and says "Breakwater, it's a casino not a maternity ward" What the??

Oh no, he's back, ruining the UAE Tour. I don't understand it. Surely his inanity annoys his fellow commentators. Maybe he's a really nice bloke in person. Maybe he has a goat video of the CEO of Eurosport. Who knows, but if he's on the mike for Strade Bianche I might just lose my mind.

The guy is possibly the worst commentator of any sport on the planet (along with Tommy Smyth). I have no idea how Eurosport can possibly think he is worth a salary.

I also have stopped watching when Kirby is on races, and also on speed skating. He absolutely ruins my enjoyment of sports I love.

And he's still here!!! Challenge Mallorca and i'm still having to listen to Carlton drone on about things he doesn't understand properly, how many people need to complain for GCN/Eurosport, why is he commentating on Contador's weight?? totally irrelevant, and frankly obnoxious, laughing at his dull, tragic jokes. Sad old man needs to retire.

I really don't like to put someone down, but we pay for these race views. It is really sad that Kirby doesn't change. After 3 secs i know he is the commentator as he seems to inhale into the microphone, sounds almost like a whistling noise.
I just really wish they would get someone like Ant McCrossman or Hannah or Dan Lloyd, just ANYONE but him. His laugh and joking is NOT funny. Very irritating.

Spoilt my enjoyment of the world track championships from Roubaix!! Felt sorry for his co commentator. You could tell by her tone that she was fed up with him!!

Each to their own, fair enough - except you need to speak for yourself, as he certainly doesn't keep ME entertained.
And the main problem is that he absolutely does consider himself an expert. He is clearly not - and is not a competent presenter either, in my view.
Worst of all, he constantly talks over the true experts and hardly lets them get a word in edgeways. Even did this to Philippe Gilbert on one occasion. It's all about him, I'm afraid.
Totally agree he ruins the coverage.
