Carlton Kirby is possibly the worst commentator ever. The only way of tolerating him is to play bingo with his stock phrases. Latest one is ugh. Others are...Sean, gnarly, shimmy, a day such as this, let's wait and see and err. There are many, many more. Terrible

Inane chatter, spontaneous and groundless assumptions about riders, preposterous lack of understanding of team tactics and motives, more interested in food and drink than the race. It's time for the insightful and entertaining trio of Blyth, Hatch and Lloyd to jock him off his airtime.

Carlton is overly excitable, frequently wrong, completely biased toward certain riders.
He completely ruins the key sprints and attacks by excitedly thinking he has to talk at a faster pace during these moments, spouting even more inaccuracies and distracting from the racing.-

I much prefer the other commentators - they can remain neutral.
Kirby is completely full in for British riders and Ineos in particular as a team.

The best commentators have a humble need communicate everything that is going on in the sport; the worst commentators like Kirby, listen to the sound of their own voices, massacre the language, get in the way. He shouldn't be employed in this job.

Please, please get rid of this man and his utter gibberish. He ruins everything he commentates on as we have to turn the sound down to avoid putting my foot through the TV screen.
